I wasn’t the swimmer anyone expected to succeed.
Out of high school, I already had two shoulder surgeries and was ranked as a One Star recruit by Swimming World Magazine—the lowest rating available. I went largely unnoticed by most college programs, but found myself a roster spot at Virginia Tech as the lowest ranked backstroker. It became evident then that I would have to take ownership of my swimming if I wanted to learn to be fast. During that time, I became a true student of the sport—studying the technique and race strategies of Olympians, and learning everything I could from my coaches and teammates.
The next few years of hard work culminated in the success I had always dreamed of: becoming an ACC Champion, NCAA All-American, and USA Olympic Trials Qualifier. At the end of my senior season I was named by the NCAA as one of the Most Improved Athletes for the Class of 2013.
After college, I swam professionally for the New York Athletic Club and later coached collegiately at Florida International University. Eventually, I stepped away from the sport—but life had more in store. In 2018, a serious car accident left me with multiple herniated discs in my neck and back. Swimming became part of my rehab, and once I was back in the water, something clicked. The sport that had shaped my life was calling me again—this time, in a new role.
As I trained with other Masters swimmers and triathletes, I kept seeing the same thing:
generic workouts with no real plan for speed or performance. These athletes had the drive—but not the direction. That’s when I knew I could help.
I began applying the same high-performance principles I used as an elite athlete and coach to the needs of adult swimmers. The result is a system built specifically for Masters swimmers and triathletes—one that’s focused, efficient, and designed for measurable progress.
In 2024, I used my Sprint Training Program to coach Abbas Karimi to two silver medals at the Paris Paralympic Games. That same methodology is now available to you—tailored to your goals, your ability, and your schedule.
I know what it’s like to be underestimated. To feel stuck. To want more but not know where to start. Whether you’re racing your first triathlon or chasing a Masters record, I’ll help you become your fastest self—with a training system that actually works.
